Former NY Governor Is Facing More Legal Challenges

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo

The transcripts from the interview with former New York Governor into the sexual harassment investigation are out. Throughout the deposition former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was often combative with investigators and repeatedly denied inappropriate behavior.

The 515 page transcript released by the states Attorney General Letitia James. Attorney General Letitia James launched an investigation that found Cuomo groped, kissed and made sexual suggestive comments towards 11 women.

Former Cuomo aide Britney Camiso who claims Cuomo groped her in the Governors Mansions made the most disturbing claims against the former governor. Cuomo told investigators that never happened saying “it would be an act of insanity to touch a woman’s breast and make myself vulnerable to a woman for such an accusation”.

This incident prompted a separate investigation from the Albany county Sheriff Office which filled a criminal complaint against the former governor last month for forcibly touching. The Albany county district is now investigating that criminal complaint

When asked if he ever kissed any staff members on the lips Cuomo replied “I kiss on the cheek there may be an occasion where staff members kissed me on the lips. but I kiss on the cheek as a rule”

Another incident is an unmarked trooper on Cuomo’s security detail who claims she was harassed and inappropriately touched. She told investigators “ I felt completely violated because to me like that is between my chest and my privates”.

Cuomo’s attorney criticized the state Attorney General Letitia James saying they prejudiced against people for a criminal charge that is pending.

At the end of the questioning with Cuomo he said “ I would like to say it was a pleasure but I am under oath”

Cuomo is expected to appear in court early next year surrounding the criminal investigation.
